NUGS ORGANISES A 3-DAY LEADERSHIP TRAINING CONFERENCE FOR STUDENT LEADERS

Leadership has remained so important in our societies for obvious reasons and for that making sure the right leaders are trained and empowered to execute their visions perfectly has always been seen as a way of improving upon the capacity of leaders.

As a result of the above and many other cogent reasons, the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) under the leadership of Hon. Isaac Jay Hayde in partnership of Titi Ofei center for leadership excellence organised a three-day leadership training for national student leaders in the country.

It brought together national student leaders from associations such as GNUBS, TTAG, NAHSAG etc and industry experts and leadership coaches who took turns to address the assembled student leaders on integrity, vision execution and how handle risk or threats of the job.

……Success is by design….. Leaders think smart, they don’t worry.

Finance), Nii Okang Daniels (Lecturer and Counsellor), Courage Kwasi
Nobi (Youth Development
Practitioner and NUGS Secretary,
2012), Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa(Member of Parliament and NUGS President 2006) Ahmed Benin
(Deputy Secretary General, Pan African Youth Union), Manasseh Azure Awuni(Award Winning Broadcast Journalist and Anti Corruption Activist), Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Hopson (Counseling Psychologist, Conflict and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Expert and Trainer), Dr. Edward Omane Boamah (Former Minister and NUGS president, 2003) and Reynold Agyapong Antwi (Finance and Management Expert, with CBG.

Highlights of their speeches will be presented in due course.

Ultimately, it was a great success. Participants commended NUGS and added that, such impactful leadership conferences should be organised for all student leaders across board.
